CHODY HIRES ROY FIKAC AS ASST. CHIEF DEPUTY- CAUGHT LYING AS AN OFFICER AT GROESBECK AND ALLOWED TO RESIGN

Chody brought over Roy Fikac from the Constable’s office as the Assistant Chief Deputy, the third highest position in the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office. Fikac formerly worked at Groesbeck Police Department. He was caught lying and allowed to resign.

In Fikac’s own handwriting, he accounts how he thought a driver threw a bottle at him and started a pursuit. The pursuit was called off by his chain on command, but Mexia PD and Limestone County SO was still in pursuit. He returned to where he believed the bottle to be thrown at him only to discover he was wrong. Rather than doing the ethical and honorable thing and notifying dispatch, he not only allowed them to continue to believe the bottle was thrown at him, he added another lie and said he found another bottle that the passenger had thrown.

He attempts to explain it away and beg for forgiveness. He is allowed to resign. He has taken the position at the WCSO as somebody that continuously accuses others of lying and participates in their IA investigations and the steps to have them terminated for it.
